Take Ivy – Capture Brooklyn: Part 3 (where the winner is revealed)

New York Photo Festival August 24, 2010 – 7:08 pm

Matthew Nedbalsky - "Gowanus, Brooklyn"

As our loyal readers will surely recall from our previous postings, a week ago we promised that one of you would soon receive an advance copy of Take Ivy, powerHouse Books’ hottest new book on Ivy style.

Well, it wasn’t easy, but we’ve picked the winner of our solitary advance copy of Take Ivy:

Ladies and gentlemen, may we present to you Matthew Nedbalsky’s “Gowanus, Brooklyn” – a night shot of a security guard’s room evoking Brooklyn’s proud industrial past, while serving up equal parts grime and patriotism. A land where a portrait of Che Guevara, nylon renditions of our flag, and a smattering of 1980’s pin-up calendar girls can lay side by side in perfect harmony, bathed in the yellow-green hues of fluorescent lights.

Matt, congratulations! Your copy of Take Ivy awaits you at The powerHouse Arena so come on down and claim your birthright.
